Silverpoint on panel, 24 x 30"

This drawing was inspired by a "mind picture" that appeared while I was working on the much more joyful, Whale Song. Sadly, reports of beached humpback whales are becoming more and more frequent along the Jersey coast. This 24 x 30" drawing is large for a silverpoint drawing. Friends and family posed for the women. I created many sketches until I got the scale and composition that would work.
